Coupled Urbanisation and Ecological Protection along the Yellow River Basin in the Context of Dual Carbon

“Peak carbon and neutrality”, also known as dual carbon, is the key to solving problems of energy industrial low-carbon transformation, fundamental promoting development new industries that protect environment conserve resources. Among cities along Yellow River Basin, city Luoyang in Henan province strategically vital coordinated regional economy. Thus, researching coupling urbanisation ecological protection an important way realise goal. To explore coordination (CC) between environment, index system built for comprehensively assessing (UEE) systems Luoyang, a model measure their degree, quantitatively analyzed CC process evolution trend Luoyang’s UEE, explored driving factors causing changes through regression analysis. The results show integrated ranges from 0.7571–0.9497; however, contribution city’s population lowest at only 5.231%.
